Stillness Among Chaos

And sirens braid the midnight air,
I root my spirit in calmness.
The world may tremble, loud and wide,
With fractured truths and shifting ground.
Yet in the hush I hold inside,
A deeper peace is found.
No chaos climbs the inward hill
Where quiet light is softly grown.
For in the heart that chooses still,
A steady dawn is sown.
